Students and Parents,

As a teacher of World and U.S. History it is my expectation that every student in my classroom will be successful.  While this requires a lot of hard work from students, I am here for extra help and support.  This year students will acquire an understanding of World and United States History and strengthen reading, writing, research, and speaking skills.  In engaging with historical content, students will develop critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of the world and of themselves as citizens.  As students study World and U.S. History they will also develop an understanding that they, like generations before them, are active participants in the shaping of history.

The 2008-2009 school year marks my 2nd year teaching at Homewood-Flossmoor.  I graduated in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in the Teaching of History.

Please click on the links to the left to find information on the classes I teach.

Thank you,

Daniel Jimenez
