"Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous." ~Confucius
A Note To Students and Parents:
It is my goal that students in my class will experience the history and culture of various peoples through reading, discussion, and activities. I want them to exit my class with a greater appreciation of their own heritage, a better understanding of the historical contributions of other groups, the ability to read and interpret various types of history, the ability to write historically, and the ability to form their own historical opinions.
Achieving these goals will take a lot of work! The key to success in any class is a constructive relationship between teacher, student, and parent. This site is an effort to make that relationship easier to forge. You will find course profiles, grades, unit guides, calendars, assignments and announcements available on this site. I will update regularly and promptly answer any email questions or comments!
I look forward to a successful year ahead!
