2. Please understand that being on support staff will require a significant time commitment. Are there any obligations that would inhibit your ability to complete tasks assigned to you?
3. Would you be interested in being coordinator (calling other support staff) to arrange planning meetings this summer?
Yes ____________________ No ________________
4. Snowball Experience. Tell us about your Operation Snowball experience. Which small group were you in? What year(s) did you attend? Leadership experiences? Planning: Were you a small group leader? If yes, who was your adult counterpart?
5. Why do you want to be on Support Staff?
6. It must be understood at Operation Snowball that your personal use (i.e., war stories, bragging, etc.) is not appropriate. Snowball is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention program to help students make healthy choices.
If you are 21 years old, we know you are legally able to drink. However, if you
are under 21 you should not be drinking. Our program is based on making good
choices. If you are drinking or using drugs in any way that would discredit Operation
Snowball, please reconsider applying to Operation Snowball.
With that in mind, do you use? How much and how often do you use?
7. Responsibilities include: Being in charge of cabins (this means staying with the cabin the whole night), working on a large group presentation, helping with registration, mini-workshops, check-out and running free time activities. We are really interested to hear your expectations or suggestions about support staff. Anything you would want to change?
8. Are you currently experiencing any personal issues that might impair your ability to fulfill the responsibilities of an effective sport staffer?
9. How will Snowball benefit from you being on Support Staff?
Support Staff will be chosen by May 16th. You will be notified via mail/e-mail. The following will be considered in selection: experience/balance between new and experienced support staff, availability and leadership skills.
