When looking for topics in our Online Catalog, it is best to search by KEYWORD rather than subject. Searching by KEYWORD will get you more results. Here are some KEYWORDS to consider for this assignment along with suggested Dewey numbers:

You can access pre-selected, RELIABLE web sites on a variety of topics through our Online Catalog.
Simply open the Online Catalog and in the “Search” box, type in one of the following:

- Internet sites about England -- Civilization
- Internet sites about Scotland – History
- Internet sites about Medieval Civilization
- Internet sites about Shakespeare

Then click “Title”. Once opened, click on the blue link after “Elec. Access”. This will take you to a list of web sites about your topic. Click on the site you wish to view and you will magically be transported through cyberspace and arrive at a web site on your topic.

Go to the HFHS Library Homepage*. Here you will find a variety of subscription databases filled with information from published, reliable sources like reference books, magazines and journals, as well as newspapers. The following databases would work best for this assignment:

- Student Resource Center (Hint: Search by KEYWORD instead of subject. Also, once the results list appears, check the left-hand column for additional and more specific topics related to your search.)

- Encyclopedia Britannica Online
