This is a simple yet descriptive site detailing the holdings and archives of the New England Pirate Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. Although this site primarily highlights what's available to see at the museum, rather than offering information about actual pirates, there is a page of Education Curriculum that lists many pirate-related activities for elementary, middle and high school students. Some of the best information available on the site, however, is located in the "Teachers" section, offering biographies, historical information, bibliographies and a very useful "Who's Who Aboard a Pirate Ship." |

Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA)
The IDSA is an organization that serves the business and public affairs needs of entertainment software companies. The organization accounts for the majority of entertainment software sold in the United States. In 1994, the IDSA voluntarily established the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) to review and rate every video game. The ESRB suggests the age appropriateness of games based on the amount of graphic violence, strong language, or provocative themes they contain and has initiated nationwide programs aiming to increase consumer and retailer awareness of the ESRB’s rating system.
International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)
IFPI is the organization representing the international recording industry. It comprises a membership of fifteen hundred record producers and distributors in seventy-six countries. One of the federation’s top priorities is fighting piracy, and to this end it conducts research on piracy, advises its members on legal and technological strategies to combat piracy, and lobbies governments to enforce copyright laws. IFPI publishes an annual report on music piracy as well as a quarterly newsletter.
International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA)
IIPA is a private sector coalition formed to represent U.S. copyright-based industries in worldwide efforts to improve international protection of copyrighted materials.
